WWIP has both Corporate Praise Partners and Individual
Praise Partners, both of which plant key seeds of sustenance into
the ministry of WWIP.
Corporate Praise Partners are those businesses, ministries
and professionals that bless WWIP with their on-going monthly pledge
of financial support, in exchange for which WWIP is honored to be
able to offer them messages of appreciation for their gifts.
Individual Praise Partners have offered donations
and gifts which have blessed WWIP, most likely as the result of
an on-air appeal. In many cases, this has given WWIP opportunity
to bless the individual donor in return with a premium. There have
been Individual Praise Partners, for which we thank God, who have
blessed WWIP with no thought of expectation in return. Other Individual
Praise Partners have blessed WWIP by offering their services as
a volunteer at the broadcast center, for which WWIP is very grateful.

Had Delmarva Education Association set out with the goal in mind
to build a new FM radio station which had a signal that covered
all of greater Hampton Roads, it probably wouldn’t have been
possible. A preliminary engineering signal study indicated a slight
opportunity for a viable signal at 89.1 FM, though certainly not
covering all of the region by any stretch of the imagination.
As is often the case, God had other plans. Over a period of approximately
four years, He opened several doors that were first thought to be
tightly sealed, in order to enable signal coverage of the whole
region. With newly-opened doors of opportunity, construction proceeded
with WWIP, 89.1 FM, “The Word in Praise”.
With the format of today’s best in praise and worship
music and Christian ministry programming,
WWIP began broadcast operations on December 1, 2004. WWIP has come
to be one of only a handful of stations offering coverage to the
whole region of greater Hampton Roads, for which the entire staff
says, “Thank You, Lord!!”
