Outreach for Christ, Inc. is a ministry committed to reaching the lost and discipling those to whom they minister. There are many aspects to the Outreach for Christ ministry. They have a jail ministry that extends beyond the correctional centers. They provide support and necessities to those coming back into society and their families. Potter's House, associated with Virginia Beach United Methodist Church, serves the area's homeless population. They offer financial, food, bike, personal hygiene, and ID assistance twice a week to those in need of these items. The Potter's House resources come from the congregation and other churches, business's and organizations in the area. With the rising cost of utilities and food, coupled with the growth of this program, the ministry is struggling to help those in need. "GriefShare" at Great Bridge Presbyterian Church


GriefShare is a faith based support group offering help to those who are grieving the death of a loved one. The weekly group uses video, workbook, discussion, scripture, and prayer to help sort through the multiple issues of grief. Each session is self contained so one does not have to wait for a new cycle to begin. There is a one time cost of $10.00 for the workbook.
